MCM Comic Con London October 2025

Written by Rossano D’Angelo

This past October, the ExCel Centre in London hosted the “autumn edition” of MCM Comic Con - originally known as the London MCM Expo - bringing together hundreds upon hundreds of fans of anime, manga, comics, and cosplay under one roof for three exciting days. We attended the Con on Saturday the 25th, usually the busiest day of the weekend, and it was an absolute blast!

A heaven for all kind of passion

The ExCel Centre in London, with its immense halls, once again proved to be the perfect location for this event. There were multiple halls, each offering something different to discover - from comic vendors and anime or manga photo setups to autograph and photo-op booths, the Funko Pop stand, the eBay booth, and the Artist Alley. The halls on the lower and upper floors were dedicated to panels and shows featuring special guests.

Comics hunting in the vendors hall and in the Artist Alley

Although it’s called MCM Comic Con, there weren’t many comics at the Con. Still, the few comic vendors present displayed a great variety of titles, from Marvel to indie graphic novels. There was something for everyone, and it was very hard to resist filling the backpack with The Walking Dead first prints.

The Artist Alley was a huge success. The Con managed to bring comic book superstars such as Steve McNiven, Chip Zdarsky, and Phillip Kennedy Johnson to the UK, giving fans the chance to get their books signed and buy original art.

Among the long list of creators, we also found Marc Ellerby (Rick and Morty), Lee Townsend (Spider-Man, Marvel Heroes), Gary Erskine (Star Wars, Terminator), and many more.

Small press and independent publishers also enjoyed a busy weekend, with many people showing interest in indie publications such as Twisted Dark, published by Twisted Comics.

Interesting panels and a cosplay contest

The MCM agenda was packed with panels featuring many guests who took their place on stage - from Troy Baker, who performed the songs he composed inspired by The Last of Us and Joel’s journey in the game, to the more comics-focused Panini Manga Showcase.

The cosplay contest, however, deserves a special mention: hundreds of cosplayers paraded in front of an incredibly excited crowd.

But these weren’t the only cosplayers attending the Con that day. Many more could be found on the main floor, walking along “The Boulevard” and taking photos with other attendees.

Fancy a photo with a TV celebrity?

The MCM Comic Con managed to bring together an incredible roster of TV and cinema celebrities for photo ops and autographs. Fans could meet actors such as Joseph Quinn (The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Stranger Things), Karl Urban, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara (The Boys), and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Daredevil, The Punisher, The Bear FX).

The longest queue was for Jon Bernthal and The Boys cast, but the MCM staff demonstrated that they could manage the chaos perfectly. Pages and Panels took a break from reporting to meet Jon for a photo op, proudly wearing a T-shirt from The Beef, the fictional sandwich shop in The Bear FX.

Until next time, MCM Comic Con!

This October edition of the show closed its doors on Sunday afternoon after three successful days. The organisation didn’t reveal how many tickets were sold, but given the affluence of Saturday alone, we can safely say it was a success. The tickets for May 2026 edition are already on sale on the MCM official website.
