Fans of indie monster hunting comics need look no further as Aviña Comics, founded by John Aviña, has a bundle with two issues of The Last Paletero on the Block with proceeds benefitting the Immigrant Defense Project.
Founded nearly 30 years ago, the Immigrant Defense Project combats human rights abuses that occur as a result of racial profiling and authoritarianism.
Aviña, who is no stranger to advocating for social causes on his platforms, is donating proceeds from all comic book sales. “As we watch this current administration scapegoat migrants it is important that we band together and help those who need it most.”
The Last Paletero on the Block debuted in 2023 with Issue #2 now available.
In addition to the traveling popsicle salesman, Aviña Comics has 10 different series to choose from ranging from horror, fantasy, and mythology.
